TREK founded in 1968 by Bruce T. Williams, TREK, INC was founded on the needs of electrophotographic electrical industry for high precision, stable, cost effective electrical measuring instruments and equipment. Trek quickly set metrological standards at the pace of future growth and built its reputation as a designer and manufacturer of high quality measuring instruments.

In the mid-1980s, TREK, INC expanded its research and development efforts in the semiconductor industry. They develop the world's first high voltage, all solid state, DC stable amplifier (20 kV).

Expertise in calibration and metrology has allowed TREK to expand its instrument products to serve growing industries such as:
